St John’s Hospice in July at their summer fundraising Fair … we were fortunate to carry out one of Chas Ambler’s last wishes which was to have the Melodrome stage erected in the Hospice gardens. This was our first chance to give back to the hospice who had looked after Chas for many weeks.
The Melodrome was graced by some of our favourite acts that day all of whom gave their time for free and we were fortunate to have sets from Bill Lloyd, The Groove Cutters, Carmen & The Devil and The Manfredis.
During the four hours we saw sunshine and blue skies but ended with pouring heavy rain but this did not dampen anyone or the dancing children who supported every act.
It was a wonderful day and we helped raise £2500 for the hospice.
I reckon we did Chas proud! 🙂
